How to install Windows XP from a usb memory stick

Note:
ALL DATA ON YOUR STICK WILL BE ERASED!
Please back up any data before running the USB_MultiBoot_10.cmd!
    1. Download usb_multiboot_10.zip. This is a special tool which will format your usb memory stick and make it bootable.

    2. Unpack (unzip) to any folder. THE PATH TO YOUR FOLDER MUST BE SIMPLE AND WITHOUT SPACES! (eg. c:\usb_multiboot_10).

    3. Insert your usb stick or SD card.

    4. Run USB_MultiBoot_10.cmd and follow text description.

    5. The format utility will appear. Choose NTFS for >=4Gb usb flash and FAT16 for other, Start format; and Close after finishing.

    6. Set options 1 and 2.

    7. Set option 0 if you are using a usb hard disk drive instead of a memory stick.

    8. You do not need to set any other options you unsure of.

    9. Choose 3 after setting the options. It will create an image and write it to the USB stick and also make it bootable bootable.

    10. Answer Yes to each questions that comes up (these vary depending on the options selected).

    11. Once complete you can remove the stick.
You will need to enable usb boot in the bios or use a key like F12 to access the boot menu.

Choose Text installation for the first boot and then GUI afterwards.

IMPORTANT: Do not remove the usb stick until you reach the logon screen.





Download or right click & SaveAs - usb_multiboot_10.zip.
