| Cargo |
White or coloured granules or prills. Soluble in water. |

|
Nature of hazard |
Not itself combustible but promotes combustion. Decomposes in a fire giving off toxic fumes, oxides of nitrogen. Symptoms may develop after several hours. Damaging to water. |

Protective devices |
Suitable respiratory protective device. Goggles for complete eye protection. Plastic or rubber gloves. Eyewash bottle with clean water. |

|
Emergency action |
Notify police and the fire brigade immediately. Stop engine. Mark roads and warn other road users. Keep public away from danger. |

| Spillage |
Clean up promptly. Sweep up and place in a clean appropriately labelled container. Do not repack contents. If product has entered a water course, or drain, or sewer, or has been spilt on soil, or vegetation, advise police or fire service. |

| Fire |
Extinguish with water. Do not attempt to smother the fire. Do not use dry chemical or foam. Keep upwind. Avoid breathing fumes. Do not allow molten fertiliser to run into drains. |

| First aid |
Seek medical attention for the symptoms apparently due to inhalation of fumes produced in a fire. Persons who have inhaled fumes may not display immediate symptoms. They must lie down, keep still and be taken to a doctor with this leaflet. Keep under medical observation for at least 48 hours. Keep patient warm. Apply artificial respiration only if patient is not breathing or under medical supervision. |
